In a late thriller in Madrid, Estudiantes stunned Real and handed the “Whites” their fourth loss in the season (93-88).

It was a close game in the first half (25-25, 46-49), as no team could take a significant advantage (66-64 at the end of the third quarter).

Since then, though, the hosts took over and played very well offensively (27 points) to edge their opponents and earn a big victory at home in the Madrid derby (93-88).

Alessandro Gentile led the winners with 25 points, as four more players scored in double figures.

Sergio Llull and Rudy Fernandez had 18 and 16 points, respectively, for the losing squad, with Gustavo Ayon and Trey Thompkins posting 13 and 12 points.

Estudiantes improved to 5-10, whereas Real Madrid dropped to 11-4.
