TAU Baskonia has made an official announce where they say that Goran Dragic will fly to Arizona to pass a medical check with the NBA franchise Phoenix Suns, while the two teams are negotiating for the outgoing of the Slovenian guard to the NBA.
This announce is made just few days after Dragic said he wanted to stay in Vitoria and to play for TAU to improve his skills with the Coach Dusko Ivanovic.
TAU hopes to reach an agreement with Suns soon and they are looking for a new playmaker in European market. The main problem for the outgoing of Dragic is that he does not have buyout for the current season, so the price of his "freedom" has to be dealed.
Dragic will be signed for Suns using the mid level exception to get a salary enough to pay the part of the buyout what Suns can not pay (NBA franchise can only pay 500,000$ for buyout)
