Fenerbahce defeats Anadolu Efes in overtime thriller

Fenerbahce edged Anadolu Efes in overtime (86-79) and remained unbeaten in the Turkish League (5-0).

Nikola Kalinic gave the hosts a two-point lead, with 20 seconds to go (72-70). Yet, Shane Larkin made two free throws and forced an overtime (72-72). In the extra period, Fenerbahce went on a 14-7 run and never looked back to win the game (86-79).

Kalinic had a team-high 17 points for the winners, with Kostas Sloukas adding 16 and Jan Vesely 14, along with 12 rebounds.

On the other hand, Adrien Moerman posted a game-high 18 points for the losing squad, with Bryant Dunston contributing 16.

Fenerbahce made a better start to the game and were up by 10 (42-32), but Anadolu Efes cut the deficit to four at halftime (44-40).

The visitors managed to take the lead in the fourth quarter (59-60), yet the hosts stood tall and survived their opponents in the overtime.
