Bayern Munich survived Panathinaikos at home (80-79) and were victorious for the first time in the EuroLeague (1-1).
It was a close game for three quarters (20-20, 40-41, 56-58), but the hosts earned a five-point lead in the fourth one (73-68). The “Greens” came back, though, and were down by one (80-79), with five seconds to go.
Devin Booker missed both free throws, but James Gist turned the ball over and consequently, the Germans won the game.
Nihad Dedovic had a game-high 19 points for the winners, as four more players scored in double figures.
For Panathinaikos, who suffered their first defeat in the competition (1-1), Keith Langford posted a team-high 18 points.
