Talking to Sport magazine Red Star's coach Svetislav Pesic admitted that the chances of him staying at Red Star for the next season are less than slim due to financial difficulties the club is facing.
The successful coach who signed with Red Star just last summer and led the club to two finals and one semi-final stated:
"I can not longer continue with the club under such bad working conditions. Only God knows how we managed to pull this season off.
We were not even allowed to discuss the financial difficulties of the club in public.
I understand that I must stay and finish my job and I believe that everyone are happy by my work at the club so far, but I can't stay if nothing changes. And I doubt anything will change in the next two days when everything has been the same during the entire season"
If Pesic quits Red Star he will not stay unemployed for long as he is considered to an elite coach in Europe having won numerous titles in both club and international level including Euroleague, Eurobasket and World Championship.
