HIGHLIGHTS: EuroLeague round up (week 27, Wednesday)

The EuroLeague standings are beginning to take more shape by the round as the focus turned to the bottom end of the table.

And it’s a second straight season that Barcelona have missed the post-season after they fell 95-91 on the road to Unicaja Malaga.

Daniel Diaz paced the winners with 21 points along with four three-pointers from four attempts.

Brose Bamberg will also miss out on this season’s playoffs after they lost convincingly 103-79 to Baskonia.

Baskonia led from start to finish, establishing a double-digit deficit after only three minutes, and never looked back.

Jayson Granger led six Baskonia scorers in double figures with 17 points.

Basement side Anadolu Efes’ fate was sealed a couple of rounds earlier, but Khimki’s 85-73 win in Istanbul sealed the Russian side’s place in the playoffs.

Malcolm Thomas led Khimki with 17 points.

In a battle between two teams that have already qualified for the playoffs, league leaders CSKA Moscow defeated Olympiacos 89-81 in the Russian capital.

Nando De Colo hit four triples, en route to 25 points for CSKA.
