HIGHLIGHTS: EuroLeague round up (week 20, Thursday)

In one of the games of the season, Panathinaikos guard Nick Calathes proved to be the difference as the Greens triumphed over Zalgiris after a period of overtime in Athens.

Calathes scored 14 points, as well as the game-winner as Panathinaikos secured a chaotic 94-93 win as the Greeks blew a 20-point second-quarter lead and an eight-point fourth-quarter lead before battling back from a seven-point deficit in overtime to claim a hard-fought win.

Another game that went down to the wire saw Baskonia edge Unicaja Malaga 83-82 on the road. This despite the hosts hitting 17 three-pointers.

Janis Timma led the winners with 17 points, including the game-winning layup with 2.2 seconds left.

Real Madrid though had an easier night as they cruised to an 87-68 win over basement side Anadolu Efes in the Spanish capital.

Luka Doncic had 17 points, six rebounds and five assists in the victory, but Walter Tavares was Madrid’s main man on this night with 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.
