Mike James signs two-way deal with New Orleans Pelicans

Former EuroLeague star Mike James is continuing his NBA path, as the 27-year-old signed a two-way deal with the New Orleans Pelicans.

James most recently played for the Phoenix Suns, appearing in 32 games this season, averaging 10.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 20.9 minutes per contest.

James became the first player in NBA history to sign a two-way contract before having his deal converted to a one-year NBA contract on December 7. James was waived by Phoenix two days before Christmas.

James made his debut against New York Knicks today.

The Portland, Oregon native spent three seasons in the EuroLeague, playing two of those with Baskonia and one at Panathinaikos. He averaged a career 11.4 points a game in those three seasons.
