According to Italian media it is more than likely that Torino will not host the upcoming Final Four in 2011 as it was announced, due to financial problems.
The local government are planning budget cuts that will affect various scheduled events, one of them being the Final Four which will be hosted by Torino only “by miracle”. The Euroleague itself is planning to offer financial aid to Torino, but that may not be enough.
Top candidates to replace Torino are London, that was planned to host it in 2012 but may skip a year, Barcelona (2003 host) and Zagreb.
