Arvydas Sabonis comes out against FIBA window

Lithuanian Basketball Federation president Arvydas Sabonis has joined several coaches and players in being critical of the new FIBA international window.

While there have been players like Greece’s Kostas Sloukas and Ukraine’s Sergii Gladyr that have shown their support to the new calendar, as well as Russian Basketball Federation president Andrei Kirilenko, some have also not agreed with the window.

Italy coach Ettore Messina has publicly come out against the FIBA window, Zalgiris playcaller Sarunas Jasikevicius believed that the new system was a step back 20 years and now Sabonis has come out against the international program.
