After finding success in FIBA Europe Cup Mathias Lessort heads to EuroLeague

Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade has decided to add fresh, young blood into its paint, and has signed a three-year deal with big man Mathias Lessort, the club announced on Friday.

Lassort (2.05 meters, 21 years old) is a power forward who arrives to Belgrade from French side Nanterre, where he enjoyed a breakout season. He posted 10.2 points and 7.2 rebounds, including 3.0 on the offensive glass, and 1 block in French League action, but was also an important piece in Nanterre’s run to winning French Cup and FIBA Europe Cup crowns, averaging 9.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in the latter.

Lessort grew up with a fellow French side Elan Chalon, club where he also started his professional career. He is now set to make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut.
