Galatasaray inks Alex Renfroe

Galatasaray Odeabank Istanbul reached an agreement with playmaker Alex Renfroe to work together next season, the club announced Monday.

Renfroe (1.91 meters, 31 years old) arrives from FC Barcelona Lassa, where he averaged 3.9 points and 1.6 assists in 17 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games last season.

He started the 2016-17 season with FC Bayern Munich, averaging five points and 4.2 assists on six 7DAYS EuroCup games off the bench.

Renfroe started his career with VEF Riga of Latvia and also played for Zagreb of Croatia, Enel Brindisi of Italy, Baloncesto Valladolid of Spain, Brose Bamberg and ALBA Berlin of Germany, Enisey Krasnoyarsk of Russia and Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz of Spain.

He helped Zagreb win the Croatian League title in 2011 and also lifted the German League trophy with Bamberg in 2013.

Renfroe has also been a member of the Bosnian national team. He has averaged 10.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 16 EuroCup career games, all with Bayern.
