Galatasaray stuns Anadolu Efes

Anadolu Efes faced off against Galatasaray Eksmaş in Sinan Erdem Dome during Round 5 of the Turkish BSL.

Unfortunately, they endured a significant loss in the Istanbul derby, as the visitors claimed a convincing 76-95 victory.

Bugrahan Tuncer, a former Efes player, led Galatasaray with 16 points, closely followed by Huseyin Koksal with 15.

Akwasi Yeboah also made a notable contribution with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Jarell Martin and Ismet Akpinar added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

On the Efes side, Tyrique Jones led with 18 points, supported by Erkan Yilmaz with 16, Darius Thompson with 12, and Elijah Bryant with 10 points.

Galatasaray took control with a crucial 13-2 run at the beginning of the fourth quarter, putting the score at 61-81 and effectively sealing the game for them.

This defeat marked Anadolu Efes’s first loss of the BSL season, while Galatasaray improved their record to 3-2.

The two-time EuroLeague champions will now head to Bologna to face Virtus in the EuroLeague Round 6 match on (03/11).
