Barcelona guard Brad Oleson out for five weeks

Barcelona suffered yet another in line of many injury blows this season, after learning that veteran guard Brad Oleson is expected to miss five weeks with an ankle injury.

Oleson suffered a sprained ankle during Barcelona’s Round 18 win over Anadolu Efes. Oleson, who started 13 games so far this season, has been averaging second most minutes on the team (22:24), and has been contributing with 5 points, 2 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Barcelona has already lost Pau Ribas for the season, while big man Shane Lawal is yet to play a game. Coach Georgios Bartzokas team is currently without forward Stratos Perperoglou, who missed the past six games, and Barcelona has played big stretches of this season without Juan Carlos Navarro, Petteri Koponen, Justin Doellman and Victor Claver, with each missing at least three consecutive games this campaign.

Now, Oleson joins that long list.
