Barcelona ink Alex Renfoe in season-long deal

FC Barcelona Lassa added to its injury-plagued backcourt by signing veteran point guard Alex Renfroe for the remainder of the season.

Renfroe (1.91 meters, 30 years old) arrives from FC Bayern Munich, where he has spent the past season and a half. He averaged 5 points and 4.2 assists on six 7DAYS EuroCup games off the bench this season. He has two seasons of Turkish Airlines EuroLeague experience under his belt – one each with Bayern and ALBA Berlin – during which he averaged 9.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5 assists in 34 games.

In his only EuroLeague game in Barcelona, Renfroe helped ALBA reach overtime before losing with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals in February 2015.

Renfroe previously played for VEF Riga in Latvia, KK Zagreb in Croatia, Brindisi in Italy, Valladolid and Baskonia Vitoria Gasteiz in Spain, Brose Bamberg in Germany, and Enisey Krasnoyarsk in Russia.
