Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg was unable to return for the second half of Friday’s 121-105 victory over the Indiana Pacers after suffering a shoulder injury.
Flagg sustained the injury while attempting a breakaway dunk when Indiana’s Aaron Nesmith committed a flagrant foul.
The Mavericks youngster landed awkwardly on his shoulder following the contact.
Although Dallas went on to secure a 16-point victory, Flagg’s condition became a concern after he was ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
Following the game, Mavericks head coach Dusty May provided an update on the forward’s status.
“Cooper has left shoulder soreness, he’ll be evaluated in the next couple of days,” said Mavs coach Dusty May.
