Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv defeated Valencia Basket 91-88 on Thursday, October 15, earning its second victory of the 2026-27 EuroLeague season and spoiling the hosts’ attempt to recover from a midweek defeat. Jimmy Clark led six Maccabi players in double figures with 17 points, helping Oded Kattash’s team secure a road win ahead of club president Shimon Mizrahi’s 87th birthday.
Maccabi improved to 2-4, while Valencia dropped to 4-2 after suffering its second defeat in three days. The visitors overcame a second-half deficit by sharing the scoring load and making 14 of 24 three-point attempts.
Maccabi opened the game with 31 points in the first quarter to take a 31-23 lead. Valencia responded with a 25-point second period, cutting the deficit to 50-50 at halftime before taking control during the third quarter.
Gonzalo Corbalan led Valencia with 14 points, shooting 4-of-5 on two-point attempts, while Armoni Brooks added 14 points and Nikola Mirotic finished with 12. The hosts scored 24 points in the third quarter to enter the final period with a 72-71 advantage.
Maccabi, however, scored 20 points in the fourth quarter to regain the lead and close out the game. Valencia managed only 16 points in the final period, missing the opportunity to protect its home court after holding the advantage through three quarters.
Clark finished with 17 points on 3-of-3 three-point shooting and added four assists. Roman Sorkin contributed 16 points, while Oshae Brissett scored 14 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Maccabi’s balanced offense proved decisive, with six players reaching double figures. The visitors made 58.3% of their three-point attempts, compared with Valencia’s 28.9% on 11-of-38 shooting from beyond the arc.
Maccabi also recorded 24 assists, five more than Valencia’s 19, although the visitors committed 16 turnovers. Valencia shot an efficient 66.7% on two-point attempts but could not compensate for its perimeter struggles.
Valencia will look to return to winning ways against Paris Basketball on Friday, October 23. Maccabi’s next EuroLeague assignment is a road game against Real Madrid on Thursday, October 22.
