The Dallas Mavericks have signed forward Matt Cross to a training camp contract, according to Paul Garcia of Spot Up Shot.
The 6-foot-7 forward returns to the organization after spending the 2025-26 season with Dallas’ G League affiliate, the Texas Legends.
Cross, who went undrafted out of SMU in the 2025 NBA Draft, previously signed with the Mavericks during last year’s training camp before being waived ahead of the regular season.
He subsequently joined the Legends, where he appeared in 36 regular-season games.
The forward averaged 6.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field, 41.4% from three-point range and 58.0% from the free-throw line.
His performances in the G League have earned him another opportunity with the Mavericks organization.
However, Cross is expected to be waived in the coming days as Dallas continues finalizing its roster for the 2026-27 NBA season.
