Lonnie Walker IV could be heading toward another opportunity in Europe after parting ways with the Denver Nuggets, with his new representation potentially opening the door to a return overseas.

Misko Raznatovic announced on Monday, October 12, that Walker had become a client of his agency, BeoBasket. The agent highlighted the 27-year-old guard’s recent performances in Europe, where he played for Zalgiris Kaunas and Maccabi Tel Aviv over the past two seasons, while noting that Walker was still attending Denver’s training camp at the time of the announcement.

The move leaves the former first-round pick looking for his next opportunity ahead of the 2026-27 season, although no return to Europe has been announced.

The Nuggets signed Walker to a one-year, minimum-salary contract on August 5. The deal included an Exhibit 9 clause and was non-guaranteed, giving Denver the flexibility to release him before the regular season.

Walker’s latest NBA opportunity followed two productive seasons overseas. He began the 2024-25 campaign with Zalgiris, averaging 13.6 points per game in 19 EuroLeague appearances while shooting 33.1% from three-point range. He also recorded 12.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 10 Lithuanian League games.

The guard subsequently joined the Philadelphia 76ers and made 20 NBA appearances during the 2024-25 season. He averaged 12.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 24 minutes per game, shooting 42.0% from the field and 35.4% from beyond the arc.

Walker moved to Maccabi Tel Aviv for the 2025-26 campaign and maintained his scoring production. He averaged 15.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 28 EuroLeague games, alongside 15.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 13 Israeli League appearances.

Walker was the 18th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft and has averaged 9.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across his NBA career, which included stops with the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Brooklyn Nets and 76ers.
