Despite the large number of EuroLeague and EuroCup stars involved at this year’s Olympics, it will be bettered by the amount of NBA players suiting up for this year’s summer games.

There will be a total of 46 NBA players taking part in the Olympic Basketball Tournament at the Carioca Arena on the Olympic Park, five more than at the London Games in 2012.

Outside of the United States, Spain has the most NBA players on its roster with seven.  Australia, Brazil and France each feature five, followed by Argentina with four.  Ten of the 12 teams competing in this year’s men’s tournament have at least one current NBA player (Venezuela and China are the two teams without an NBA player).
