The Golden State Warriors secured a 109-106 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday at Chase Center, propelled by a career-high 31 points from Gui Santos.

Draymond Green made two clutch free throws with 6.9 seconds left, while De’Anthony Melton contributed 14 points, including two late freebies to secure the win.

Brandin Podziemski chipped in 22 points, six rebounds and five assists as Golden State won its first home game since returning from a 2-4 road trip.

Brooklyn, trailing entering the fourth quarter, struggled offensively in the final 12 minutes, shooting 8-of-20 with only two makes from beyond the arc.

Ziaire Williams led the Nets with 19 points, while Jalen Wilson added 15 off the bench and Ben Saraf posted 14 points with seven rebounds.

The Nets have now lost nine consecutive games and drop to 17-56 on the season, continuing their slide at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.

Golden State improved to 35-38, clinching a play-in spot and extending its sellout streak at Chase Center to 600 consecutive games, the sixth-longest in NBA history.

The Warriors pulled within one point at 63-62 midway through the third quarter before Brooklyn responded with consecutive 3-pointers from Drake Powell to regain momentum.

Late-game execution proved decisive as Santos’ scoring and Green’s free throws sealed the narrow win for the home team.
