The Oklahoma City Thunder and Boston Celtics face off Wednesday, March 25, at 7:30 PM ET at TD Garden in Boston. Both teams enter the matchup with absences.
For the Thunder, Brooks Barnhizer, Payton Sandfort, Thomas Sorber, and Nikola Topic are all listed as out. Sorber is sidelined recovering from right ACL surgery, while Barnhizer, Sandfort, and Topic are unavailable due to G League assignments or two-way contract restrictions.
Boston has several players listed as questionable. Max Shulga, John Tonje, and Amari Williams are all on assignment or two-way players whose status remains uncertain. Nikola Vucevic is officially out after fracturing his right ring finger, leaving a significant gap in the frontcourt.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the Thunder with averages of 31.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game, while Chet Holmgren contributes 17.2 points and 9.0 rebounds. Jalen Williams adds 17.5 points per game, though Oklahoma City will have to adjust rotations without the sidelined players.
The Celtics rely on Jaylen Brown’s 28.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game, with Derrick White and Payton Pritchard providing backcourt scoring and playmaking. Jayson Tatum has played limited games this season but remains an offensive threat when available.
Both teams have shown strong recent form. The Thunder have won their last two games, including a 123-103 victory over the 76ers at home and a 132-111 win at Washington.
Boston is 1-1 in its last two, dropping 92-102 to the Timberwolves before defeating Memphis 117-112 on the road.
