Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari bolstered its frontcourt by inking big man Gabe Olaseni to a one-year deal on Wednesday.
Olaseni (2.10 meters, 24 years old) arrives from Giessen 46ers, where he averaged 11.7 points and 7 rebounds in 24 German League games last season. He started the 2015-16 season with Brose Baskets Bamberg, averaging 2.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 5 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague games before joining Giessen.
It was Olaseni’s first experience as a professional basketball player, right after finishing his college career at the University of Iowa (NCAA). Olaseni will make his 7DAYS EuroCup debut with Sassari next season.
