Asvel announced the signing of former Lietuvos Rytas player Mindaugas Lukauskis. 30-year-old shooting guard signed 2-year contract with the French club which will be playing in Euroleague next season.
Lukauskis faced Asvel last season twice while playing for Rytas. French side was impressed with his performances despite the fact that he scored just two points in the away game.
Vincent Collet, head coach of Asvel, was delighted with this signing and the qualities that Lukauskis brings to his team.
Mindaugas Lukauskis helped Lietuvos Rytas win all the titles last season including the Eurocup. He averaged 9.9 points per game in both – Eurocup and Lithuanian league last season.
He will have a chance to visit Lithuania on the first Euroleague match already as Asvel will visit Zalgiris.
