Bismack Biyombo and Bones Hyland have each waived the right to veto a trade as part of their respective deals with the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves, Hoops Rumors has confirmed.

Typically, a player who re-signs with his previous team on a one-year contract is granted an implicit no-trade clause, giving them the ability to block any trades.

However, teams can request that the player waive this clause in advance, and many have agreed to do so, as shown by league tracking data.

Biyombo is signed to a fully non-guaranteed Exhibit 9 contract with San Antonio, while Hyland’s one-year deal with Minnesota carries a partial guarantee of $425,000.

By waiving their rights, both players have allowed their respective teams greater flexibility in managing trades and roster moves throughout the season.

Biyombo has played 14 seasons for 7 teams, including the Hornets and Suns. He has averaged 5.9 rebounds and 5.1 points in 867 regular-season games.

Meanwhile, Hyland has played 4 seasons for the Clippers, Nuggets, and Timberwolves. He has averaged 9.5 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.2 rebounds in 186 regular-season games.
