Fenerbahce’s hopes of winning their first ever Euroleague trophy have been dented after Jan Vesely revealed that there is a chance that he might not be fit to play at the Final Four in two weeks.

Vesely has averaged 12 points and a block this season as well as leading the team in rebounding with seven rebounds but the Czech Republic international has missed the last month of action after being sidelined with an Achilles tendon injury.

The forward was due to be out for six weeks but talking to the Turkish Anadolu Agency, Vesely has admitted that he faces a race against time to suit up for Fenerbahce in Berlin.

“I am very curious whether I will be in Berlin,” Vesely said.

“I am trying to do everything in order to make it there, but i cannot promise anything. It’s not clear yet. I want to get over my injury completely and be in the Final Four. I’m working very hard for this but I’m not certain yet.”

Fenerbahce will take on Laboral Kutxa in Berlin on Friday, May 13.
