Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant has ended his partnership with Lift Sports Management, according to a report by Damichael Cole of the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
The decision comes at a time when the 25-year-old is entering a pivotal stage of his career following a turbulent 2024–25 season that included both injuries and disciplinary issues.
Sources told the Commercial Appeal that despite the agency split, the relationship between Morant and the Grizzlies remains intact.
Morant, who averaged 23.2 points and 7.3 assists across 50 regular season games this year, missed time early due to injury and was later fined for conduct-related violations during the stretch run of the season.
His postseason production dipped, averaging 18.3 points over three playoff games before Memphis was swept in the first round by the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder.
The 2024–25 campaign also saw a coaching change in Memphis, as the franchise dismissed Taylor Jenkins on March 28 with nine games left in the regular season. Jenkins had been the only head coach of Morant’s NBA career.
Although the Grizzlies finished 48–34 and qualified through the play-in tournament, the team failed to advance beyond the opening round, prompting further questions about its direction.
Following the season, Memphis hired Tuomas Iisalo as head coach. The organization is expected to explore potential roster and structural adjustments ahead of the 2025–26 season.
Lift Sports Management had represented Morant through multiple All-Star campaigns and a lucrative extension signed in 2022, but the relationship now concludes as the guard’s public image and role within the team continue to evolve.
