Kevin Durant is likely to be traded by next week, according to a report from John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM, as shared by Darryn Albert of Larry Brown Sports.

Speaking on the “Burns & Gambo” show, Gambadoro stated, “I expect Kevin Durant will be traded from the Phoenix Suns next week,” adding that there is an “outside shot that something happens sooner.”

The Suns are collaborating with Durant and his agent, Rich Kleiman, to find a trade partner before the June 25 NBA Draft.

Multiple franchises are monitoring the situation, though the New York Knicks are not among them. Stefan Bondy of the New York Post reported that the Knicks are not engaged in trade talks for Durant, despite being listed by ESPN as a potential suitor.

Durant, 36, averaged 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 4.2 assists in 75 games this season. He remains under contract through 2026.

Phoenix finished 11th in the Western Conference with a 36–46 record, missing the playoffs and signaling a shift toward a rebuild. The organization already parted ways with head coach Frank Vogel earlier this offseason.

Toronto has emerged as a serious contender in the Durant sweepstakes. The Raptors possess a combination of future draft picks and young talent such as Scottie Barnes and Gradey Dick that could appeal to Phoenix.

San Antonio has also been mentioned in connection to Durant. According to a private discussion cited in multiple league reports, the veteran forward referenced the Spurs as a team of interest.

The Suns, meanwhile, are expected to intensify negotiations with interested teams in the coming days. A final deal could be finalized before or during the draft, depending on how talks progress.
