Chris Boucher’s name was frequently mentioned in trade rumors leading up to the deadline, but the Toronto Raptors’ big man remained confident that he wouldn’t be moved.
Throughout this period, Boucher maintained regular communication with the team’s front office, ensuring he was kept in the loop about any potential moves.
“I won’t lie to you, I think it was the most peaceful deadline I had compared to the other years,” Boucher told William Lou of RaptorsRepublic.com.
“I was also talking with (general manager) Bobby (Webster) and all of them, and I never thought I was going to be going away. The media says one thing, but really, the GM, and the people around here would have told me if something would have happened, and then I would have been a little bit more concerned.”
