Stephen Curry scored 30 points as the Golden State Warriors dominated the Dallas Mavericks 126-102 on Sunday.
Golden State (30-27) secured its fifth win in six games and improved to 5-1 since acquiring Jimmy Butler. Butler contributed 18 points while shooting 8-for-8 from the free-throw line.
The Warriors established control early, building a double-digit lead in the first quarter and extending it to 23 in the second.
Curry and Butler each had 14 points in the first half as Golden State entered the break up 61-44.
Dallas (31-27) struggled without Anthony Davis and several key frontcourt players, snapping a three-game winning streak.
PJ Washington and Kyrie Irving led the Mavericks with 17 points apiece.
Golden State pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Dallas 39-31 behind an eight-point run from Curry. By the time the fourth quarter started, the Warriors had already reached the 100-point mark and led by 26.
Butler continued to make an impact by getting to the free-throw line, bringing his total to 55 attempts in six games with Golden State.
The Warriors shot 87% from the stripe, outscoring Dallas 20-13 in free throws.
Brandin Podziemski added 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Draymond Green finished with 13 points and six assists.
Andre Iguodala’s jersey retirement ceremony followed the game, honoring his role in four championship runs and his 2015 Finals MVP award.
The Mavericks will face the Lakers on Tuesday in a matchup featuring Luka Doncic against his former team.
Golden State will look to extend its momentum when it hosts the Charlotte Hornets that same night.
