Tyler Herro recently addressed the ongoing Jimmy Butler situation, offering his perspective on the Miami Heat star’s trade request and suspension.

When asked about Butler’s situation, Herro told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, “We all know everything that’s going on. Not much to talk about.” However, the young guard didn’t shy away from discussing the challenges of working with a teammate who has been frequently unavailable.

“It’s probably not the easiest to work with someone who’s in and out in any job,” Herro said, acknowledging the difficulties the Heat face with Butler’s fluctuating status. Despite these challenges, Herro made it clear that his feelings toward Butler haven’t changed. “We love Jimmy. We love for him to be here. I love Jimmy,” he added.

Butler’s situation has been a major topic of discussion. The All-Star forward’s trade request has created tension within the locker room, and his recent suspensions have further complicated matters. On January 3, the Heat suspended Butler for seven games, citing multiple instances of conduct detrimental to the team. This came after Butler had publicly expressed dissatisfaction with playing in Miami, stating he no longer believed he could be happy there.

Butler was once again suspended on January 22 for two games after missing the team flight to Milwaukee for a game against the Bucks. These actions came amid ongoing trade talks, as Butler has requested a trade from the team.

As the Heat try to manage Butler’s trade request, they find themselves at a crossroads. Miami is currently 9th in the Eastern Conference with a 21-22 record, and they have struggled with a 4-8 mark in their last 12 games. The Heat’s front office is reportedly exploring trade offers but has yet to find a deal that satisfies all parties involved.
