Since John Collins was moved to the starting lineup nearly a month ago, the Utah Jazz have seen a noticeable decline in the effectiveness of their bench, according to Andy Larsen of The Salt Lake Tribune.

The Jazz’s second unit has struggled to produce consistent offense or defense, leaving the team without reliable support when the starters are off the floor.

Larsen notes that this has been a major issue for the Jazz, as they have failed to find a consistent rhythm off the bench, which is critical for maintaining balance throughout the game.

Given this, Larsen suggests that a potential solution could be moving Collins back to the bench until Jordan Clarkson returns to health.

The shift would allow the Jazz to bolster their second unit with a more experienced player who could contribute both offensively and defensively.

Since Collins joined the starting lineup on November 12, Utah’s bench has posted a -7.5 net rating, which is the worst mark in the NBA during this period.

This negative performance highlights the struggles of the second unit and underscores the need for a change to improve the overall balance and depth of the team.
