On Monday, the NBA announced that Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards had been fined $25,000 for using profane language during his post-game media session on Friday.

The league’s decision was shared via X/Twitter. Edwards, possibly anticipating the fine, chose to avoid speaking with reporters following the Timberwolves’ loss on Sunday.

According to Chris Hine of The Star Tribune, Edwards explained his absence from the media session by referencing his past fines for using inappropriate language during interviews.
