San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama made his return on Sunday after missing two games due to back soreness, as reported by Michael C. Wright of ESPN.

He had an impressive performance, contributing 25 points and 10 rebounds, and hitting a crucial 30-foot three-pointer with just 36.9 seconds left, helping to stave off a comeback by the Pelicans.

Reflecting on Chris Paul’s milestone, in which he moved into second place on the career assists list, Wembanyama shared his admiration for the veteran guard’s achievements.

“I got to be on this one,” Wembanyama said of Paul’s accomplishment. “Just the celebration, it was the best. I’m very, very proud of him. He’s just incredible how he doesn’t just do things halfway.

“He’s never just on the court just to be on the court. He’s trying to win, trying to find solutions. It’s a trait you find in very few people.”
