According to Tolis Kotzias of SDNA.gr, Abu Dhabi has been confirmed as the host city for the 2025 EuroLeague Final Four. The event will take place at the Etihad Arena, a state-of-the-art venue that has also hosted NBA preseason games and international basketball competitions.
Initially, Belgrade, the host city of of the 2018 EuroLeague Final Four, was considered a favorite to host the event. However, Abu Dhabi emerged as the frontrunner and was officially selected. The Etihad Arena, which seats 18,000 spectators, is expected to undergo further enhancements, including additional seating to meet EuroLeague requirements.
The venue is well-known for its NBA-standard facilities, making it a suitable choice for EuroLeague’s marquee event. Abu Dhabi’s growing presence in the basketball world, alongside its neighboring city Dubai, underscores its commitment to becoming a global sports hub.
Etihad Arena has already hosted high profile basketball games, including preseason NBA games as well as Team USA’s exhibition games.
The EuroLeague Final Four is scheduled for May 2025, marking the first time the prestigious event will take place in Abu Dhabi. Further details regarding ticket sales and schedules will be announced in the coming months.
