CSKA Moscow made light work of holders Real Madrid, beating them 95-81 in the Russian capital and chalk up their first win of the Euroleague Top 16.

Both teams now stand at 1-1 in Group F.

Nando De Colo led CSKA with 28 points as the Russian side built up a 50-41 lead at half-time and looked comfortable from there.

“I think [the most important part] was to play defence,” De Colo said. “We know they have very good players who can make lots of things on the court. We needed to play defence and play together; it what we missed in Khimki. So no we need to keep working on it. I just tried to read the game. We practice hard every day. I just do my job.”

KC Rivers paced Madrid with 23 points in his first game for the club since joining from Bayern Munich.

Barcelona also grabbed their first win of the Top 16 campaign as they beat Khimki 87-70 in Catalonia.

Pau Ribas put in a solid all-round display as he amassed 14 points, six rebounds and a steal in the win.

“We had a very all-around game, one of the best this season, against a very good opponent and did well on offence and defence,” Barca coach Xavi Pascual said.

“We played fast, dynamic basketball, without stopping. There are always things to improve, but I am happy for the way we played today.”

The other Group F, Olympiacos secured their second win in as many games by edging Laboral Kutxa 82-76 in Vitoria.

Vassilis Spanoulis had 19 points for the victors and became the tenth Euroleague player to hit 300 three-pointers in his career.

Mike James had 16 in reply for Laboral Kutxa.

The lone Group E clash saw Cedevita Zagreb grab their first win of the Top 16 campaign after beating Darussafaka Dogus 79-72 in Istanbul.

Jacob Pullen led Cedevita with 25 points as the visitors turned a 26-19 deficit after the first period into a 40-39 lead at the half and the Croatian side pulled away from there.
