The Dallas Mavericks are likely to be shorthanded once again on Sunday as they head to Denver. Star guard Luka Doncic is listed as questionable due to a left groin strain, which could impact his availability for the game.
Additionally, a trio of the team’s big men – P.J. Washington (right knee sprain), Dereck Lively (right shoulder sprain), and Maxi Kleber (right hamstring strain) – are all considered doubtful, according to Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News.
So far this season, Doncic has managed to play in every game, making this injury a potential first setback for him in the 2024-25 campaign.
The Mavericks will need to adjust their rotation if these key players are unavailable against the Nuggets, possibly testing their depth in the frontcourt and backcourt.
