Brooklyn Nets forward Bojan Bogdanovic will need more time to fully recover from offseason surgeries before fully participating in training camp.

While the veteran forward has completely recovered from wrist surgery, he’s still healing from surgery on his left foot.

As a result, Bogdanovic will be held out of 5-on-5 activities at the start of camp.

The 35-year-old is in his second stint with the Nets, having been reacquired in a deal that sent Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks.

Bogdanovic struggled with wrist and foot injuries during the Knicks’ postseason run, limiting his effectiveness.

Despite the injuries, his shooting and veteran presence were valuable to New York, but the toll on his body required off-season medical attention.

Entering the final year of a contract worth just over $19 million, Bogdanovic is expected to be available in trade discussions as the rebuilding Nets explore ways to gain assets for the future.

If Bogdanovic can prove he’s healthy in the early stages of the season, he is likely to draw interest from playoff contenders seeking additional perimeter shooting and scoring depth.

His ability to stretch the floor and provide scoring punch off the bench could be a coveted asset for teams looking to make a deep postseason run.

The Nets, meanwhile, are focused on their youth movement but could benefit from moving Bogdanovic’s expiring deal, potentially securing future draft picks or younger players in exchange.

For now, both the team and Bogdanovic are prioritizing his health, ensuring that when he returns, he’s ready to contribute at a high level.
