The Brooklyn Nets are expected to be a key focal point for contending teams seeking roster upgrades as the NBA trade deadline approaches.

Despite their 5-9 start to the season, the Nets are reportedly willing to entertain trade offers for several players on their roster.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, league sources indicate that Brooklyn’s rebuilding phase positions them as a potential destination for teams eyeing impactful talent.

First-year head coach Jordi Fernandez has made strides with the roster, but the franchise seems poised to pivot toward long-term asset building.

A key name on the market is fourth-year guard Cam Thomas, who is averaging 24.6 points per game this season. Thomas, who failed to secure a contract extension before the season, is considered available for trade.

In addition to Thomas, the Nets possess experienced veterans like Dennis Schroder and Bojan Bogdanovic, who are also drawing interest.

Schroder’s playmaking and leadership could provide depth for contending teams, while Bogdanovic’s recovery from left foot surgery has kept him sidelined, but his proven scoring ability makes him an intriguing option once healthy.

Brooklyn’s current position in the standings has not deterred their competitiveness, with Fernandez maximizing the available talent.

The front office appears ready to capitalize on the trade market, which could reshape their roster and set a new direction.
