Steph Curry has captured his first Olympic gold medal, reflecting, “It’s everything I imagined and more.”
The four-time NBA champion clinched the coveted medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, a milestone previously missing from his illustrious career.
Curry dazzled with his three-point shooting, making 17 of 26 three-pointers across the semifinal and gold medal games.
In the semifinal, he scored 36 points, followed by 24 points in the gold medal game against France.
His performance in the final was particularly memorable, as he sank four three-pointers in the last three minutes to secure a 98-87 victory for Team USA.
“It’s everything I imagined and more. There’s a sense of relief at the end, but it’s more a sense of accomplishment,” Curry said, reflecting on the significance of his achievement, via Ben Golliver.
He added, “Smiling, cheesing, having the best time of my life because this might not come around again,” highlighting the personal joy and pride he feels.
