Fenerbahce takes 2-1 lead against Monaco

Fenerbahce grabbed a crucial 2-1 series lead against Monaco in the EuroLeague playoffs, clinching an 89-78 win in front of their home crowd. The Turkish powerhouse is now on the brink of advancing to the Final Four.

Tarik Biberovic led Fenerbahce in scoring with 14 points, while Nick Calathes contributed 13, and Scottie Wilbekin and Marko Guduric added 11 each.

In a tightly contested first quarter, both teams traded blows before Fenerbahce surged ahead to a 47-40 halftime lead.

Alpha Diallo led the charge for Monaco with a game-high 23 points. Meanwhile, EuroLeague all-time leading scorer Mike James was limited to just 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting.

Jordan Loyd and Jarod Blossomgame also scored 11 pointes each for Monaco.
