Mavericks roll over Clippers to re-take series lead in Game 5

Luka Doncic, despite fighting illness, scored game-high 35 points, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a blowout win over the Los Angeles Clippers (123-93) in Game 5 of the first-round series.

The Slovenian superstar also had seven rebounds and ten assists in 39 minutes of play.

The series will now shift to Dallas for Game 6, putting the Mavs in a prime position to close the series in front of their own fans.

Kyrie Irving provided support with 14 points on 6-of-14 shooting, with Maxi Kleber and Jaden Hardy adding 15 and 14 points off the bench respectively for the Mavericks.

Paul George and Ivica Zubac led the scoring for the Clippers, each contributing 15 points. Norman Powell added 14 points off the bench.

James Harden was limited to just seven points on 2-of-12 shooting. Russell Westbrook had a similar game, scoring six points on 2-of-11 shooting.

The game was close in the first quarter before the Mavericks took control of the game, dominating the remaining three periods.
