Brandin Podziemski: I deserve to be on NBA All-Rookie First Team

Golden State Warriors rookie Brandin Podziemski has voiced his belief that he deserves a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team, with his teammate Trayce Jackson-Davis deserving recognition on the Second Team.

“I don’t think there’s five [rookies] better [than me],” declared Podziemski on SiriusXM NBA Radio, reflecting on his performance this season and his eligibility for the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

He further asserted, “I think I deservedly should be on the first team and I think Trayce should be on the second team,” highlighting the contributions of himself and his teammate Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Podziemski’s confidence was evident as he emphasized, “Like I said before, if you could re-draft, you wouldn’t take me at 19 and you wouldn’t take Trayce at 57.

“So I think it’s just a stamp of approval and it kind of goes to show how much time and work you put it over the summer and through training camp. And now everybody’s getting to see it on a global stage.”

With an average of 9.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, Podziemski has left an indelible mark on the Golden State Warriors’ season,
