Portis, Lillard combine for 59 points as Bucks dominate Magic

Bobby Portis and Damian Lillard orchestrated a dominant performance as the Milwaukee Bucks (49-31) cruised to a 117-99 victory over the Orlando Magic (46-34) on Wednesday night.

Portis led the charge with 30 points and an impressive defensive display, while Lillard contributed 29 points and nine assists to secure the win.

The Bucks showcased their resilience in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, who missed the game due to a strained left calf.

Despite missing key players like Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton, Milwaukee delivered a commanding performance to maintain the second place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Orlando struggled to contain the Bucks’ offensive firepower, falling behind early in the game and never regaining the lead. Paolo Banchero and Jalen Suggs led the scoring for the Magic with 20 and 18 points respectively.

With the victory, the Bucks remain 1.5 games ahead of the New York Knicks and two games ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers in the race for the Eastern Conference’s No. 2 playoff seed.

The Magic, currently fifth in the East, on the other hand, face a challenging path to secure a playoff berth as they try to avoid falling into a play-in situation.
