NBA insider Shams Charania has provided a crucial update on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s left calf injury following the Milwaukee Bucks’ recent game against the Boston Celtics.

Antetokounmpo’s unexpected exit from the game due to a left calf strain has raised concerns for the Bucks as they continue their pursuit of a championship this season.

According to Charania’s tweet, Antetokounmpo has fortunately avoided damage to his left Achilles tendon, which is considered a best-case scenario.

However, his return to play will depend on how well he responds to treatment and rehabilitation for the strained calf.

Given the unpredictable nature of calf injuries, the timetable for Antetokounmpo’s recovery is estimated to be at least one to two weeks, with the length of his absence ultimately determined by his progress in rehabilitation.

With just three regular season games remaining, the Bucks find themselves in a tight race in the Eastern Conference standings.

Holding onto the second seed, they maintain a narrow one-game lead over the New York Knicks, while also staying two games ahead of the Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, and 2.5 games ahead of the Indiana Pacers.
