Liga Endesa 2015-16 round up (week 5)

Two unbeaten teams remain as Valencia extended their winning run to five while inflicting a first loss of the season to Laboral Kutxa.

Valencia came away with an 85-78 success as Justin Hamilton top scored for the winners with 20 points, cancelling out Darius Adams’ impressive haul of 29 for Baskonia.

Barcelona have joined Valencia on top of the Liga Endesa after five games as they overcame Andorra on the road 89-66 as Ante Tomic and Justin Doellman led five Barca players with 15 points.

In the Madrid derby, Real Madrid just about got the better of Estudiantes 80-75 thanks to 15 points from Sergio Rodriguez and a late show from Sergio Llull.

In a light-hearted moment, the Estudiantes side were introduced into the arena guarded by the droids from Star Wars.

Brandon Paul hit a long three with 0.6 seconds left to give Joventut Badalona  a 71-70 win over Zaragoza to go to 4-1.

Sevilla got their first win of the season in week five by winning 81-79 on the road to Fuenlabrada.

That means that there are two teams that remain winless at the end of week five as Tenerife (85-75 vs Tenerife) and Gipuzkoa (81-68 vs Rio Monbus).

Gran Canaria scored an emotionally-charged 88-59 win over Manresa as the team dedicated their win to Kyle Kuric, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour last week.

UCAM Murcia were comprehensive winners in week five as well, as they scored a 96-68 win over Bilbao.
