De’Aaron Fox’s 31-point performance lifts Kings over Magic

In a nail-biting contest, De’Aaron Fox scored game-high 31 points, guiding the Sacramento Kings (41-29) to a narrow 109-107 win over the Orlando Magic (42-29) on Saturday night.

Fox’s clutch free throws in the final seconds proved pivotal, as Sacramento halted Orlando’s five-game win streak and secured a crucial victory at home.

Keon Ellis played a crucial role for the Kings, contributing 19 points and six assists, while Domantas Sabonis continued his impressive form, registering his 53rd consecutive double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds.

Despite a tough shooting night for Malik Monk, who went 0-for-11 from the field, the Kings found offensive contributions from Keegan Murray, who added 22 points to the scoreboard.

Orlando’s Jonathan Isaac put up a valiant effort, matching his career-high with 25 points, while Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner chipped in with 22 and 18 points respectively. Cole Anthony added 16 points off the bench.

Sacramento capitalized on a crucial 13-0 run in the third quarter, spearheaded by Sabonis, to seize control of the game and establish a nine-point lead.

With this win, the Kings maintain direct playoff spot chase. Sacramento is 0.5 game behind the sixth-placed Suns. Meanwhile, the Magic remained fifth the East, despite the loss.
