The Detroit Pistons announced through a team press release that they will be without their starting forwards for the rest of the season.

Ausar Thompson, their lottery pick, is undergoing treatment for a blood clot. Although he has been given the green light to restart conditioning, he will only begin non-contact basketball activities after the regular season concludes. His recovery will gradually progress over the summer, with expectations of full health by the start of the next season.

Isaiah Stewart sustained a right hamstring strain during the third quarter of Monday’s game against Boston. Unfortunately, he won’t be able to recover in time to play in the season finale, as confirmed by the team.
