Kyle Kuzma leads Wizards to dramatic win over Heat

Kyle Kuzma’s stellar performance propelled the Washington Wizards (11-53) to a narrow 110-108 win over the Miami Heat (35-29) on Sunday night.

Kuzma racked up 32 points, supported by Corey Kispert’s 22-point contribution and Deni Avdija’s 16 points, marking the Wizards’ second consecutive victory after a challenging stretch.

Despite the Heat’s fightback effort, led by Jimmy Butler’s 23 points, they couldn’t overcome Kuzma’s scoring outburst, resulting in their third consecutive defeat and a drop to eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Bam Adebayo, Terry Rozier and Duncan Robinson provided support scoring 16 points each. Adebayo also contributed 16 rebounds.

Miami staged a late rally, narrowing the gap to two points in the final moments, but Washington’s defensive stand, coupled with missed opportunities from the Heat, sealed the victory for the visitors.

Despite missing key players due to injuries, both teams fought fiercely throughout the game, making it a compelling contest until the final buzzer.
