Brunson’s return from a bruised left knee provided a much-needed boost for the Knicks, who capitalized on a scorching start from beyond the arc to establish an early lead they never relinquished.
New York’s stifling defense held Orlando to the lowest point total in the NBA this season, showcasing the Knicks’ defensive prowess and their ability to control the game from start to finish. New York led by 16 points at the half time and entered the final period holding a commanding 26-point lead.
Josh Hart (19 points, 7 rebounds) and Precious Achiuwa (15 points, 14 rebounds) contributed significantly to the Knicks’ victory.
The win propels the Knicks ahead of the Magic into fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Orlando, missing starting guard Jalen Suggs due to injury, struggled to keep pace with the Knicks’ relentless offensive onslaught and suffocating defense throughout the game.
Paolo Banchero led the Magic with 23 points and nine rebounds. Franz Wagner added 13 points, while Jonathan Isaac contributed 11 points off the bench.
